Yemen has incredible scenery, spectacular Islamic architecture, lush valleys, massive mountains and welcoming faces.
Sana'a, the capital, has all the tourist facilities you will need together with an old city with its Grand Mosque which are over 700 year-old. A hotel that stands out, and has and excellent views would be the Taj Talha hotel. Take in and enjoy the old covered markets which are fantastic and been running for years.
The second largest city, Aden, has a port dating back as far as Biblical times. Shibam is seen as the Manhattan of the desert and if you want to see something greener, there is the garden city of Rawdha.
The highlight of my trip to Yemen's would be the Socotra Island, with more than 700 species of plants and wildlife absolutely incredible.
