Often considered the “bush capital”, Canberra was originally party of an international design contest which was held to design the city. Designed by Walter Burley Griffin from Chicago built on large areas of natural bushland lend it’s self to being the bush capital.
Canberra is eighth largest Australian city with a population of 346,000, which are mainly public servants and defence force members. It’s the only Australian capital that is not on the coastline.
